You can jumpstart your healthy living one goal at a time. Start with one thing, like water. You should drink half your body weight in ounces of water daily. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, you would need to consume 75 oz. of water daily. Soda, tea, coffee and other beverages with water in them do not count. Most of them actually dehydrate your body. Coffee for example takes out two times the volume of water you consume in coffee. So if you drink one cup of coffee daily you need to consume an extra two cups of water.

Once you are drinking your water daily, you will notice you are not drinking as much other junk. After that you set a weekly goal to up your daily vegetable intake following the same practices until you get to 9-12 servings of fruits and veggies. Once again, you will notice the same thing. Healthy fresh fruits and veggies will crowd out the processed garbage.

You want to make your weekly goals easy and attainable. That way you experience success and know you can do it, and you also become addicted to the high of being successful.
